The Integrated Science Program (ISP) consists of a four-year Bachelor’s degree and a two-year Master’s degree.
It is a cross-disciplinary educational science program for international students interested in pursuing a degree in the natural sciences such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Additional Information The program includes bachelors and masters components, with the possibility of early graduation/completion. The science course is given in English, with additional Japanese language classes to support students' daily life and future career.

Application Process 1. Prepare application documents. Make arrangements for English test scores and standardized tests scores (if applicable) to be sent to ISP at Hokkaido University.

2. Visit the university's online application page and read the instructions and notes carefully before registering your application. Please register online first.

3. Pay application fee (5,000 yen)

4. Send the application materials via registered mail. Applications that are not received by the application deadline will not be processed. Please be sure to leave enough time for all the materials to arrive by post.

Screening Process Students will be selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of their application materials (Transcripts, personal statement, and other documents) and their interview results.

The Modern Japanese Studies Program (MJSP) is a four-year Bachelor's Degree program, preceded by a six-month Intensive Japanese Course for those without sufficient Japanese to enter the Bachelor's Degree program directly.
MJSP gives a comprehensive education in the language and Society of Japan.
