Josai International University (JIU) was founded in 1992 by the Josai University Educational Corporation in the city of Togane, Chiba Prefecture. There are 10 academic departments offering undergraduate programs in addition to 6 graduate schools offering master's and doctorate programs. Certain departments offer all-English programs.

The majority of the students are from Japan, yet there are a significant number of international students. The teaching staff from diverse backgrounds provides an international learning experience for all students. JIU treasures and promotes student diversity on its campuses, considering it an opportunity for cultural exchange and awareness.

In addition, international students get to experience Japanese culture during their study. By joining various student organizations, they can experience social relations in Japan. A variety of extracurricular activities are also available on campus, such as judo, karate and kendo.

• Matriculation fee exemption
• Up to 35 units of credit transfer (for one academic year of stay at JIU)

For JIU’s Japanese Studies Program (JSP) students:
If JSP students proceed to JIU’s undergraduate or graduate programs, they may obtain:
• Partial tuition fee exemption
• Partial matriculation fee exemption

For other international students:
• Partial tuition fee exemption
