Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ), is the oldest and largest foreign university in Japan. Founded in 1982, TUJ has developed into a nationally recognized institution offering an extensive range of educational programs. In addition to its core undergraduate program, TUJ offers graduate programs in law, business, and education; an English-language preparation program; continuing education courses; and corporate education classes.
TUJ degree programs provide the same curriculum and course content as that of Temple's main campus in Philadelphia, USA. Therefore, students at TUJ receive the same credits, degrees and transcripts as students at the main campus. All classes are taught in English and no Japanese proficiency is required to start. Studying at TUJ makes it easy to transfer to Temple's main campus or to any other universities in the U.S. and elsewhere.
Temple University, including its Japan Campus, is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, TUJ is the first institution to be recognized as a Foreign University, Japan Campus by Japan's Ministry of Education.
