Additional Information The Undergraduate Program in Bioresource and Bioenvironment covers extensive research areas: from molecule to biosphere, from sea to highlands, and from microbes to higher plants and animals. It is for this reason that we have set in place a learning system which requires all program participants to take classes in various liberal arts and basic natural sciences as well as agriculture fundamentals for the very first year and a half. Having been thus equipped with necessary knowledge to decide which research area they would like to concentrate on, students will be required by the first semester of their junior year to select their special research area under the guidance of the Academic Coordinator, and devote their time and energy into completing their bachelor's thesis for the remainder of their study.

Electrical Engineering and Computer Science - International Undergraduate Programs
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science - International Undergraduate Programs

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) was established by combining three existing departments in 1996: The Department of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronics, and the Department of Computer Science and Communication Engineering. Although these three departments had produced many active talents in industry and academia, EECS has the advantage of producing leading professionals with a comprehensive knowledge of electricity and electronics, as well as information technology. EECS covers a broad area, including electrical power engineering, electronic devices, electrical control systems, communication systems, computer engineering, intelligent systems and software engineering. After graduating from the 4-year course, most students will continue to one of the following graduate schools: the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering (ISEE), Graduate School of Systems Life Sciences, Graduate School of Integrated Frontier Sciences and the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, in order to acquire further cutting-edge skills in science and technology. The educational staff in the EECS consists mainly of the faculty members in the Graduate school of information Science and Electrical Engineering.
