Master of Arts (MA) Program in Japanese and Asian Culture

The university provides learning opportunities for Japanese students, international students, and working adults. Graduate students who wish to study Japanese culture, history and society of Japan and Asia in English are offered a program entirely in English. The MA program offers students an interdisciplinary selection of classes covering Japanese history, literature, material culture, media, contemporary art, traditional performing arts, and other cultural studies topics. Thesis supervision is conducted by leading scholars with a strong Japanese focus.

Additional Information Saitama University MA Program in Japanese and Asian Culture is newly established graduate course. Currently enrolled students are from six countries. The program provides successful applicants with an ideal forum through which to hone their analytical skills and enhance their ability to comprehend the multiple cultural and historical perspectives characterizing today’s global society, and thus will leave graduates well-prepared to pursue their professional goals in Japan or abroad.
